Tamim Iqbal Khan. The country's best left-arm opener batsman. He was born on March 20, 1989, in Chittagong. Uncle Arkam Khan was the former captain of the Bangladesh cricket team. Elder brother Nafis Iqbal was also a player of the Bangladesh national cricket team. Tamim Iqbal started playing cricket to fulfill his father's dream.
Tamim Iqbal made his national team debut in 2007 with an ODI against Zimbabwe. He also made his T20 cricket debut against Kenya the same year. And lastly, Tamim made his Test debut in 2008 against New Zealand.

Tamim is the highest run-scorer of Bangladesh in all three formats of cricket. He has played a total of 356 matches for Bangladesh in the three formats of cricket. In which he has scored centuries in 23 innings. Which is the highest among the cricketers of Bangladesh. He also played a great innings of 206 runs in the Test series against Pakistan in 2015.
